What to Write?

xwritersblockThis is the hardest part- figuring out what to write. I’m not back 100% so for me, writing nonfiction is easier than writing fiction. I am seriously considering turning some of my writer workshops into ebooks as I know they’d be fun and easy for me to do, but at the same time, I want to write fiction again. This is the toughest aspect of writing. When to push and when not to push. *sigh* Continue reading

COW:Editing and More

This week has been crazy. My day job, which is actually been 3:30pm-midnight this week, has been nuts. I’m learning so much, which is great. But the changes have been immense. First the class was 3 weeks, then one week, now it’s one week class and one week of on the floor work, with people there to guide us. I’m not complaining, but it’s a lot to take in. It makes the head spin. Spin I say. It’s a lot like editing. There’s a lot to do– lots of different things and you need to organize how you do it, otherwise, you’ll feel lost and confused. Which is why it’s important to have a great relationship with your editor.  Continue reading

Writing: Finished with Se’s story

I finished writing Se’s story– Dragon Chef: Pixified! I’m thrilled with it as it pushed my boundaries and it allowed me to get back in the swing of things. Funny thing though- I discovered that though I like writing hot sex- I’m also wanting to try some mainstream story writing too. So I think I might have to start working on Noije’s story again. But on the plus side– editing is almost done so I can submit it to Changeling– who wants to see the book! *grins* Everyone say “YIPPEE!!!” Let’s hope they like it!

Writing- An article to bleed for

One of my writing buddies gave me the URL to a fantastic article dealing with editing and how professional writers should handle edits. It’s snarky, it’s fun and most importantly, it’s a good reminder to get things done when you’re supposed to. It’s definitely going to be bookmarked for future reference just to keep my hate of editing at a minimum. My reason for not liking editing isn’t because I think I’m better than that- it’s because I’m usually in a new story and I don’t wanna go back to a story that I know so well already. To my mind it’s done and over with. *sigh* But this, might just keep me laughing through edits.
