This is how I’m feeling since I’ve been back from vacation. Pleasure is important–whether it’s physically or emotionally. I had a great time with my family, but I knew when I got home, things were going to change for me both at my day job and for my writing. Little did I realize how true that would be. My left hand, which is my dominant hand, has been giving me issues for a while, stepped it up even more. I’m now wearing my hand braces more. Worse, I have to wear the compression gloves pretty much every day at work and at home. When I see my specialist, I have a feeling we’ll be negotiating on cortisone shots and possible surgery. *whimpers* Until then, I’ve indulged in some pleasures– reading, learning about real food, my aromatherapy, and indulging in my energy readings.
My Siberian, Shango is about the only “person” who made me feel guilty about vacation. He was NOT pleased we left him behind. Since then, I’ve paid over and over for letting spend time with a friend of ours, whom he normally loves. But since she’s not mom or dad– yeah, we’ve been paying. LOL So, I’ve been sat on while sleeping, I’ve been laid upon, and basically followed if I move an inch. I’d tell you I was loved if it wasn’t for the “Hhhmpppphhh” that emits from his throat when he’s perturbed when I do something he doesn’t like.
Writing- I’ve got ideas. My ideas have ideas. That’s one of the major benefits of having gone on vacation. My mind refreshed itself. Which I’m glad. I needed it. More importantly, I was able to note my ideas down while watching “Frozen” more times than I can ever tell you. I love my niece, Keegan, but I think I have overdosed on the Snow Queen story like no one’s business. Though I can tell you that now I need to reread the original story to remember how that one went!
Story ideas are flowing though. Mermaid, thriller, even a contemporary erotic romance. I know, crazy, but it’s just amazing how things just flow. So I’ve been making notes, revising stories I’ve finished– trying to get them ready for publishing and submission, and looking at my writing as a whole. I’m amazed at some of the things I’ve accomplished and how much further I have to go. Research will only help me to go further as I sort things out.
Movies– oh yeah, I’ve watched Frozen and I’ve rewatched the Marvel movies like you wouldn’t believe. I’m having too much fun. Frozen is good in small doses, though Keegan would tell me it’s good all the time. LOL Overall, I’m enjoying my movie time.
Cooking– The Spice House. That’s all I have to say. Oh wait– I love you Spice House. There, now I’m done. 😀
