Today, we step a bit into my other realm- that of writing. In fact, as I’ve done some shopping today (I bought a new lightweight flogger and some lovely erotic BDSM oriented ebooks from Changeling Press), I realized it’s something I’ve not touched upon much in this area. I think it’s time for me to address the idea of the erotic written word and what it can do for both sexes. More »

I write erotic romance. I also write BDSM romance for those who like their romance on the kinky side. What’s funny is that I’ve always included elements of this type without knowing it. I guess it’s because I’m a kinkster and a BDSMer, but I also think it’s because it’s a fun part of reading romance. It’s every woman’s fantasy to fall in love with the right man, but sometimes, it’s about falling in love and finding the right man who knows how to have great sex too. Sometimes we focus so much on the emotional, we forget about the fun it is to fall in love- the sensations, the experiences, and just the whole physical process as well. More »

I’ve not written much the past month or so. It’s not that I don’t want to, it’s because I’ve been unhealthy and it’s been one of those things– get healthy or force myself to write and write big time crap. So, I’ve been indulging myself lately- I’ve been reading some great authors (Talia Griffin– Gillian Key series OMG!) and I’ve been luxuriating in movies and my male. Some major changes have happened the past couple of weeks, and so my online time has been cut, but I’m hoping in the next couple of weeks, that’ll change- especially when I get my desktop back. (Right now, I’m on my laptop– which does not have everything I need to be productive. LOL) More »

That’s right, I’m teaching a workshop at Coffeetime Romance. What’s it about? Plotting for Pantsters. It’s for those who need some guides but don’t want to engage in the plotting detail that other writers do.

How do you get there? Easy– click on the link.  Hope to see you there!

Yuppers, I’ve finished line edits on Cupid Shoots, She Scores. This means, we get to look forward to the book being released… well…. soon. *grins* Rumour has it’ll be out sometime in February, but when I find out– you’ll find out.

I’m actually excited because this world kinda gives me a way of bring all my stuff into both the past and the present. More importantly, I’m letting out my inner kink slut out to play. Yes, this is a good thing.

If you’ve not seen the excerpt on this story yet– take a look at the Excerpt page for it and for more on the world of P3– take a look at the Other Worlds tab.

Happiness abounds in my house right now. Why? Because it’s a new year and we’re doing the great thing known as Clean/Edit/Publish. This means that my Marauders are being worked on– with new edits, more plot, and revising to make them better than ever. More »

Blurbs–they can get people reading or they can make people pass on by. Yes, many will tell you that cover alone is the be all, end all of your book hooking readers, but many of us are drawn more to titles and blurbs over covers. Even if you have the most kick-ass cover–without a blurb snaring the attention–you can still lose readers. So, how do you write a blurb that hooks your attention without giving too much away? More »

What are the basic components of a good story?

Many authors and writers have different ideas on this. I make reference to Vogler’s The Character’s Journey and Morgan Hawke’s Cheater’s Guide to Erotic Romance Novellas.

Depending on if you’re writing a one or two main character story, that will decide how long and what kind of components you’ll have. More »
