Today, I’m posting for me, about me. Last week Thursday, I got my hair cut, styled, and coloured. I love it. It’s still easy to take care of and my natural waves and curls are now coming out more. One of my workmates did it for me- and she did a fantastic job! I’ve begun taking small steps towards doing more for myself and to get myself back in shape, physically, mentally and in my writing. It’s not easy, because I’m still very tired easily and my sleep has good and bad nights. It’s definitely hard to overcome that, but I’m trying hard to do so. So, I’m trying to jump start my writing. This week, I’m doing what I call “Prep work.” This means, I’m going through my stories– figuring out which ones I want to do and by when. I follow this up with lining up the 2 stories I want to get done or near done in the next month. Starting on Sunday, I’m doing Candy Havens’ Fast Draft workshop that I have attended before. I’ve invited a bunch of fellow authors to join in with me so that we can boost our writing and get back into shape in that area.

I’ve got plans to Cyn-plot my books– blurb, index card plot, and scene plot my stories for Fast Draft. Once I do that– I’ll narrow the list to the top one or two books. Then, over the next 2 weeks– I’ll do one book at a time– since one is a shorter book and the other– not so sure over. LOLOL The idea is to write about 20 pages a day over a period of 2-3 hours. I’m not sure if I can achieve that, even with feeling my best– so, I’m debating on my daily page count. I’d be happy with about 10 pages a day every day for 14 days. That means I’d have 140 pages done and at least one book finished!

I’m also walking a bit more. If the rain slows down here in Florida, then I’ll be swimming at least once a week again. It’s great exercise and honestly– I find it so much fun and it feels so good on my body- I’m whimpering over not being able to do it lately! So I walk on the treadmill the apartment complex has (they have a fitness center and it’s open 24 hours a day!) My eating habits are slowly getting better. I’m learning that by making one major change every 2 weeks, it’s easier to stick with it than trying to change 5 things at once. It just doesn’t work that way for me! LOL

So– if you’re an author or an unpublished author– come join me starting Sunday for 2 weeks of writing! Post your daily goals and whether you make it or not here on my website. The idea is to write as much as you can– up to 20 pages a day…and do the same amount EVERY day for 2 weeks. It’ll break those barriers and more importantly– it’ll give you a confidence boost! If you’ve not taken Candy Havens’ Fast Draft class– find where she’s giving it and take it! It’s SO worth it!
