Erotic Cyn for your senses

Yesterday it rained hard for over an hour, and I admit, part of my genetic code started into the sleep mode that prevails when it’s a good rain storm. The other part of me reveled in the energy that the rain brought to the earth and in a way- myself. Nature is a fantastic way to build up energy within ourselves and enjoy the energy the earth gives off.

One of the exercises that I was taught to do and one I recommend to those I teach is to dress in a swimsuit or something you don’t mind getting wet in. During a good rain storm- one that’s not overly filled with thunder and lightning, go out into it. Let the water penetrate your skin as you think on what water means to you- both personally and as a human. Take the time to truly enjoy the sensation of rain coating your body, filling you with energy and with the power of the elements within you. 

Another thing I usually do is put out a special jar that I capture that rain water in. I’ve done it for regular rain storms and for hurricanes. No joke. I use that water when I work spells- using the power inherent in that water to help boost my magick and my intent. It may seem silly, but when you remember the huge storm that not only rained over 5 inches of rain in your neighborhood, but the lightning and the wind that broke tree branches, you’ll be able to envision that power guiding and directing your spell, thus increasing the efficacy of it. 

Energy is inherent in all things. Using water- whether in the form of rain, river, waterfall, or elsewhere, is one way to not only use the power for your benefit, but to become aware of its importance in your daily life. By recognizing that link to you and you to it, you start the process of balancing all the elements in your life, thus bringing you more happiness and energy.
